Dsc09355 - Red Butterfly.jpg
Red Beaded Butterfly250 viewsI made four beaded butterflies for my youngest daughters 18th birthday next month. This is the first one I attempted. Consisting of seed and bugle beads, czech AB beads, one opalite two holed bead, some of my lampwork beads (including the face bead), and a cathedral bead. All wired on 26 gauge artist wire. Pattern was found in Vintage Style Beaded Jewellery by Deborah Schneebeli-Morrell.

Blue Beaded Butterfly259 viewsThe second butterfly I attempted for my daughter's 18th. More or less the same as the first red one but with couple of Faceted Opalite Briolettes on the lower wings. My own lampwork beads.
Pattern from Vintage Style Beaded Jewellery by Deborah Schneebeli Morrell - page 92.

Green and Yellow Beaded Butterfly242 viewsOk, I've decided to get a bit creative now. For my third butterfly, I found some pictures and decide to see how close I can get to the real thing. This one is mainly seed beads and a couple of czech beads and my own lampwork beads for bits of the body. This one is wired using florists wire.
