Wire Busines Card holder.jpg
Wire Business Card Holder71 viewsI decided that I needed to start making some of the projects out of the Beading/Jewellery magazines that I buy every month. My friend Anita and I are going to do this as a challenge each month. This one was for January 2006. Made with my own lampwork beads and 18 and 20 ga coated wire.1 comments

Dsc09355 - Red Butterfly.jpg
Red Beaded Butterfly250 viewsI made four beaded butterflies for my youngest daughters 18th birthday next month. This is the first one I attempted. Consisting of seed and bugle beads, czech AB beads, one opalite two holed bead, some of my lampwork beads (including the face bead), and a cathedral bead. All wired on 26 gauge artist wire. Pattern was found in Vintage Style Beaded Jewellery by Deborah Schneebeli-Morrell.

Blue Beaded Butterfly259 viewsThe second butterfly I attempted for my daughter's 18th. More or less the same as the first red one but with couple of Faceted Opalite Briolettes on the lower wings. My own lampwork beads.
Pattern from Vintage Style Beaded Jewellery by Deborah Schneebeli Morrell - page 92.
Dsc09368 - 18 Butterfly.jpg
"18" Butterfly141 viewsThis one was a bit more of a challenge to make. I should have taken shots of each step as I just made it up as I went along and by the time I got to start on the second wing, well, i had to more or less make that up as I went along as well... Seed beads, cats eye beads and lampwork beads make up this one. Wired again on florists wire. Happy 18th Chrissie. :-)

Chrissie's 18th Birthday Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet70 viewsI was meant to be making Chrissie a black and white choker that she asked me for, oh, about a year ago, but after making all those butterflies, I ran out of time. I hope she likes this instead.

It's all nice and pretty until it hits you...4 views1.48pm. 18 minutes down the road. This was taken just near the BP servos on the Bruce highway north of Brissy. Such a gorgeous view. Now! It's funny how nice the clouds are before they turn nasty and dump their load on you...
